Our 100% certified organic coconut nectar is available in two variants, amber and blonde. The amber coconut nectar is a thick viscous, dark-caramelised brown coloured liquid. The blonde coconut nectar has the same consistency but is a yellow-golden brown colour. Both are 100% natural sweeteners, frequently likened to agave or maple syrup.
Coconut nectar is wont from the blossoms of the coconut palm tree, Cocos nucifera L. The coconut palm grows naturally in the rainforest's understory and requires low maintenance when cultivated in the tropics. The trees typically become productive after around six years and continue producing flowers for up to 120 years. The syrup is won from the blossoms in a process by which fresh nectar is heated in water until the latter evaporates and the desired consistency is attained.
