Maltodextrin is derived from vegetable starch—in our case, corn—via methods saccharification and spray-drying. The final result is an easily soluble powder with a low hygroscopic character that does not contain any starch. Maltodextrin is classified as a polysaccharide and typically has a glycemic index ranging from 85 to 105.
